If i may switch the discussion in another direction for a minute gentlemen. I found this on bmpd:

Now, as you can see in the comments peoples think the S-300V tubes are for Egypt or Venezuela. However Egypt's SAMs are as far as i know all sand colour, and in fact we did saw  a sand coloured S-300VM last year (but i guess it is possible they might have changed their minds about what cammo they want). Venezuela's S-300VM are dark green. The cammo in these pics though looks  iranian style! See for instance their parades, various vehicles have very similar cammo, including their Raad/Tabas SAM. Could these  9M83s be iranian?! On the other hand, just read couple more pieces in the never ending iranian S-300 saga, either allenging that actually there is no contract yet (this from an iranian source apparently), just an MOU, or alternatively, while there is a contract, there is still a dispute about payment.

So, who are those S-300Vs for ? Are the pictures indeed from February 2016?

That colour scheme could be for anyone. Could be Syria, Iraq, Iran Algeria or even Egypt if they intend to deploy in the Nile delta area. It does remind me of Iraqi pantsir colours though.

MOSCOW, August 9. /TASS/. Russia will soon offer its foreign customers the newest air defense system Tor-E2 which can be integrated with NATO standards-based air defenses, Russia’s arms exporter Rosoboronexport (an affiliate of Rostec) told the media on Thursday.

"The possibility of interfacing Tor-E2 with any of the existing air defense systems, including those based on NATO standards, will considerably expand its export potential. A battery of four combat vehicles will have an attached command center responsible for control and coordination of Tor combat vehicles and their interaction with the control system of the customer’s air defenses," Rosoboronexport said.

Tor-E2, developed and produced by the air and space defense corporation Almaz-Antey, has retained the best qualities possessed by the Tor family and has become a still more powerful weapon providing protection from any modern air attack means.

"It is not accidental that many foreign customers in different parts of the world have taken interest in it. Its unique combat capabilities and technical parameters are superior to those of a majority counterparts on the world market. In terms of mobility and endurance it has no equals," the company’s CEO Alexander Mikheyev said. "Rosoboronexport is prepared for considering requests for these systems from its partners."

Tor-E2 is capable of destroying planes, helicopters and cruise and anti-radar and other guided missiles. Also, it effectively eliminates the combat elements of smart weapons, such as glide and guided air bombs as well as drones. It operates amid intensive fire and radio-electronic countermeasures in any weather round the clock. Each combat vehicle is armed with 16 missiles, twice as many as the previous version of the Tor system.

"Rosoboronexport is prepared to present exhaustive information about the air defense system Tor-E2 at the forthcoming military-technological forum Army-2018. We hope to see foreign guests’ great attention to other new air defense products from Almaz-Antey, too," Mikheyev added.

Korochenko: about 10 countries can negotiate the purchase of S-300 and S-400

MOSCOW, October 19 - RIA News. Igor Korotchenko, director of the Center for Analysis of the World Arms Trade (TsAMTO), believes that about a dozen countries may be negotiating with Russia on the purchase of S-300 and S-400 air defense systems.

About ten countries are likely to hold talks on the acquisition of Russian S-300 and S-400 air defense systems,” he said on Friday at the Russia Today press center.
In addition, according to the expert, Russia has already concluded a package of contracts for the supply of weapons with a number of countries in the Middle East and North Africa, but this will be officially announced only after the completion of deliveries.

"The share of the countries of the Middle East and North Africa in the total package of arms supplies to Russia is growing every year. A number of contracts will probably be announced on completion when this or that equipment entered this or that country and the contract is completed," the expert said

Korochenko added that at the conclusion of contracts for the supply of Russian weapons, "the economic component is headed." The Viking air defense missile complex is the export modification of the latest Buk-M3 surface-to-air missile system accepted for service in the Russian Army. The weapon system is a follow-up of medium-range air defense missile systems and is designed to protect troops and infrastructure facilities against modern and future air attack weapons amid jamming and counter-fire.

As compared to its predecessor, the Buk-M2E, the Viking’s firing range has increased by almost 1.5 times to 65 km. The number of simultaneously engaged targets has risen by 1.5 times to six for each self-propelled launcher while the number of ready-for-launch surface-to-air missiles in a firing position of two combat units has increased from 8 to 18.

The Viking air defense missile system features an option of its integration with the Antey-2500 surface-to-air missile complex. The Viking is capable of striking with high accuracy not only aircraft and elements of precision weapons but also tactical ballistic and cruise missiles and also sea and ground targets.

Long time, no see. I remember seeing a small-scale model of Vityaz that showed a launch tube cut-away that presumably showed the capability to fire Morfei missiles. May'be the stall is directly related to the (largely secretive) finalization of the 9M100 Morfei missile design.

One of the people, who declined to be named, said that Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Algeria, Morocco, Egypt, Vietnam, and Iraq have all discussed buying the S-400 missile system from Russia. However, the U.S. expects that a handful of countries will fold to diplomatic pressure.

The S-400, a mobile long-range surface-to-air missile system, is the Kremlin’s answer to America’s Patriot and THAAD platforms. Lockheed Martin makes the THAAD, or terminal high altitude area defense, system, while Raytheon makes the Patriot.

The Pentagon deferred questions about this story to the White House, which did not comment.

Any potential economic or political penalties would come under the Countering America’s Adversaries Through Sanctions Act, which President Donald Trump signed in August 2017. In September, the U.S. slapped sanctions on China for buying fighter jets and missiles from Russia. However, the U.S. could grant waivers.

China, India and Turkey have already signed purchase agreements with the Kremlin. China, which is embroiled in a trade battle with the U.S., is in the middle of receiving its final shipment of the S-400 system. India, the top buyer of Russian arms, signed a deal with Moscow for the S-400 last month. Turkey, a NATO ally, is slated to receive its S-400 next year and is expected to have the system ready for use by 2020.

When asked why nations seek to buy the S-400 instead of America’s Patriot or THAAD systems, one of the people with knowledge of the intelligence report explained that foreign militaries aren’t willing to stick with the cumbersome process of buying weapons from the U.S. government.

“Many of these countries do not want to wait for U.S. regulatory hurdles,” the person said. “The S-400 has less export restrictions and the Kremlin is willing to expedite sales by skipping over any regulatory hurdles. It’s like buying it off the shelf,” the source added.      

Another person familiar with the matter said Moscow can typically deliver the first systems within two years of a contract signing, a timeline the U.S. is unlikely to meet.

The S-400 system, the successor to the S-200 and S-300 missile systems, made its debut on the world stage in 2007. Compared with U.S. systems, the Russian-made S-400 is capable of engaging a wider array of targets, at longer ranges and against multiple threats simultaneously.

In terms of capability, one source noted that while there is no perfect weapon, the S-400 eclipses even THAAD, America’s missile defense crown jewel.

“No other U.S. system can match the S-400′s ability to protect large swathes of airspace at such long ranges,” said the source, who was not authorized to speak publicly.

The S-400 can target high-altitude and high-value targets like stealth bombers, aircraft, cruise missiles, precision guided munitions and some tactical ballistic missiles, the source added. The Russian-made system is also capable of defending against a swarm drone attack which was used by Houthi rebels to destroy a UAE Army Patriot battery in February.

Its been a while

Im saying this because I expected to see Russia push this system in the international market but if they intent to produce it in large quantities for its forces than there is no sense in advertising it and that could also explain situation.

DUBAI, November 15. /TASS. Russia’s state arms exporter Rosoboronexport estimates its air defense weapon order book at $14 billion, Rosoboronexport CEO Alexander Mikheyev said at the Dubai Airshow 2021 on Monday.

"Rosoboronexport’s air defense weapon order book is estimated at almost $14 billion. It includes surface-to-air missile systems and complexes, radar stations and radar systems, automated control systems, electronic warfare and radio-technical reconnaissance stations and counter-drone systems," the chief executive said.

The air defense weapons that enjoy the greatest demand among foreign buyers at present include S-400 ‘Triumf,’ Antei-2500 and Favorit anti-aircraft missile systems, Buk-M2E, Tor-M2E and Tor-M2K surface-to-air missile launchers, Pantsyr-S1 anti-aircraft missile/gun systems, Sosna, Gibka-S and Pechora-2M surface-to-air missile systems and Igla-S and Verba man-portable air defense weapons, he said.

Russia to present non-strategic missile defense system Abakan in India for the first time

MOSCOW, 9 February. /TASS/. Russia will present for the first time in India at the international exhibition Aero India 2023 the anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) of non-strategic missile defense (ABM) "Abakan", TASS was told in the press service of the Almaz-Antey concern.

"For the first time in India, the concern is presenting the Abakan non-strategic missile defense system 98R6E, designed to destroy modern and advanced tactical and operational-tactical ballistic missiles," the concern said.

They noted that the complex consists of a 98L6E multifunctional radar station and 51P6E2 launchers (up to four). It is reported that "Abakan" is a reliable means of combating the most dangerous ballistic targets and allows you to conduct combat operations both as part of an air defense grouping and independently.

As part of the exposition, Almaz-Antey will also present models of radar stations (RLS) for airborne detection Kasta-2E2, Gamma-DE and Podlet-E. They are used to detect, measure coordinates, track, identify air objects and advanced air attack weapons, including those made using stealth technology. It is noted that radars must successfully perform their tasks even when exposed to intense active, passive and combined interference, as well as fire suppression.

The holding's specialists will also tell visitors of the exhibition about naval air defense systems.
